Hatton and Castillo make weight

Ricky Hatton and Jose Luis Castillo both hit the 140lb limit for Saturday night's light-welterweight showdown in Las Vegas.

In front of around 2,000 of his vocal supporters, Hatton looked chiselled and confident on the scales while Castillo also erased doubts over his weight-making ability.

There were real fears over the Mexican, who famously failed to make the weight for his lightweight fight against Diego Corrales last year, leading to its cancellation.

Hatton briefly took the microphone to thank his travelling fans and vowed: "Let's do a job on him tomorrow night."

His trainer Billy Graham said Hatton's appearance convinced him he would be in the shape of his life once the first bell sounds.

Graham said: "The training camp has gone amazingly well and we're totally confident in Ricky's ability to win a great fight.

"I am always nervous before Ricky's fights and that is certainly not going to change. I would be an idiot if I felt any other way."
