Hay impressed by Chambers

The controversial sprinter gained his first taste of rugby league with a run-out in Sunday's specially-arranged reserve friendly against York, playing a bit-part role in a 30-16 victory in front of a crowd of 3,244.
"I think a lot of Super League wingers would have been happy with some of the runs Dwain had," said Hay, Castleford's assistant coach. "He knocked a few defenders off and showed some pace and then made a real quick play-the-ball. He's got a long way to go but he's worked hard so far and, with the determination he's got, who knows what could happen?"
He added: "His game awareness is a little bit lacking and that comes with training. He's working very hard at it and everything we've thrown at him, he's done.
"He's not enjoyed everything, I wouldn't have thought, but he's got up off the floor and gone again. His attitude will take him forward."
Chambers began the match on the bench and, after three spells on the right wing, was switched to full-back for the closing stages only to find himself right in the firing line.
He demonstrated a willingness to put his body on the line in attempting - without success - to prevent York forward Mark Applegarth scoring the final try of the game, and left the field clutching his right shoulder.
"Full-back's not the position for me," he laughed. "In terms of doing what I had to do for the team, I was prepared to do that.
"That bit at the end was the worst. But I was able to get up and fight it off.
"I'm still smiling and feeling the buzz from the event and looking forward to the next time."
