Helguson makes loan move

New QPR boss Paulo Sousa has made Bolton striker Heidar Helguson his first signing.

The 31-year-old Icelander has moved on loan until the end of January and goes straight into the Rangers squad for the Coca-Cola Championship match at former club Watford on Saturday.

Helguson has struggled with injuries since joining Bolton from Fulham in July last year and has made just one Premier League appearance this season.

Meanwhile, Rangers have announced that former England goalkeeper Tim Flowers has left his role as assistant-manager following Sousa's appointment.
