The 29-year-old arrived on Sunday evening on a private flight from London a day after the London club had confirmed the sale of their star player.
He told the club's website: "It means a lot to come here and play with some of the best players in the world. It is incredible and I am looking forward to playing in the Camp Nou and helping the team in every way I can. It is an honour to be here."
He was greeted by club officials at the airport and was whisked away. On Monday he will undergo a medical and then be formally presented to the media.
The website also claimed that Henry had also revealed he had discussed the move with Arsenal team-mate Cesc Fabregas, who had been on Barca's books as a schoolboy.
Henry added: "Barca is more than a club. Everybody knows about Barca. The most important thing that has made me come is the way Barca plays, the fans and the support they give.
"Without good fans it is difficult to have a good team and vice-versa. Their style of play is very attractive and has attracted me."
Henry, a member of France's 1998 World Cup winning squad and who featured in the French team that lost last year's final to Italy, is expected to sign a four-year contract with his new club in a deal reportedly worth 24 million euros (£17million) to the Londoners.
