Heskey boost for Latics

Heskey limped out of Sunday's Barclays Premier League draw against Arsenal at the JJB Stadium with a foot injury sustained in a 55th-minute challenge with William Gallas.

But X-rays have confirmed the 30-year-old, who missed two months of the campaign earlier this season due to a broken metatarsal in the same foot, suffered no break.

However, it remains to be seen whether Heskey will be fit enough to play any part in Sunday's vital relegation clash at home to Bolton.
