Hibbard agrees new Ospreys deal

Hooker Richard Hibbard has signed a four-year contract with the Ospreys.

Hibbard, capped by Wales during their summer tour to South Africa, will remain with the Welsh regional side until 2012.

He joins the likes of Gavin Henson, Shane Williams and Jonathan Thomas in agreeing a long-term deal with the Swansea-based side.

Hibbard, 24, is currently recovering from shoulder surgery, but he could be back in action by the end of this month.

Ospreys coach Jonathan Humphreys said: "We believe Richard has the potential to become one of the best hookers in world rugby, and we are delighted that he sees his long-term future with the Ospreys.

"He is a highly-motivated individual who has a strong desire to be a success, and the improvements in his game over the last 12 months are clear."
