Hill urges Bristol to scrap

A 34-18 defeat at the hands of Cardiff Blues last weekend means Bristol will find themselves way off the Pool Three pace if star-studded Stade record a Memorial Stadium success. And Bristol's preparations have not been helped by injuries to forwards Matt Salter and Nathan Budgett, who both miss the game.
Bristol head coach Richard Hill admitted: "There aren't too many weaknesses. Despite the fact they wear these horrendous pink jerseys, underneath those there are some tough men. They are certainly very streetwise."
He added: "But the only thing you can say at the moment is they are not fully functioning. They are a top-quality side, but maybe not playing at their very best at the moment.
Roy Winters moves into the second row for Budgett, with Salter's place at blindside flanker taken by Andrew Blowers. Dan Ward-Smith starts at number eight.
As for the considerable challenge posed by Stade,
Hill added: "We have to hope we can catch them when they are a little bit complacent.
"We have to hope that Stade Francais arrive from Paris thinking they are going to come into Bristol and just walk away with the spoils.
"We will have to fight and scrap for everything, and see what we can do."
