Horizons broaden for blossoming Khan

Promoter Frank Warren revealed the intriguing options after 21-year-old Khan displayed his full array of sublime talents in a comprehensive points victory over former IBF super-featherweight champion Gairy St Clair at London's ExCel Arena on Saturday night.
The decision to be made is whether to fight European champion Yuri Romanov in Khan's home town Bolton on Saturday April 5, or make a US debut.
Warren is adamant that Khan's first American appearance will "definitely not" be on the undercard of Joe Calzaghe's mega-fight with Bernard Hopkins on April 19.
He wants British boxing's glittering young star to headline his own show in the build-up to Calzaghe-Hopkins rather than be overshadowed by the main event.
"We're looking at the European against Romanov or a fight in the States. I'm flying out to America to try to sort it out," he said.
"Then we have to make that decision. It will be one or the other and it will be a step up again for Amir."
Olympic silver medallist Khan is unconcerned by which route he takes as he seeks to emulate Prince Naseem Hamed by becoming a British world champion at the age of 21.
"They are both big fights. I'd love to fight in America and I'd love to fight for the European title. I'm just going to leave it with Frank and my team. I'll fight anybody they put in front of me." he said.
