Hosts name squad to face England

Sri Lanka have named a 14-man squad for the first Investec Test against England starting at Kandy on December 1.

Opener Upul Tharanga, who hit a hundred against Michael Vaughan's men this week after being called back early from the tour of Australia, is included but Tillekaratne Dilshan has once again been left out.

Tharanga will be vying with Jehan Mubarak for the batting position vacated by the recently retired Marvan Atapattu.

Fast bowler Dilhara Fernando has also been chosen, after captain Mahela Jayawardene revealed his ankle surgery was being delayed until next spring.
