Hull set for 'bargain' swoop

Hull are set to sign defender Kamil Zayatte at the end of the season for a bargain fee, according to his agent Willie McKay.

The 23-year-old Guinea international joined the Tigers in the summer on a season-long loan from Swiss side Young Boys of Berne and has proved an immediate hit at KC Stadium.

"(Hull chairman) Paul Duffen spoke with the president of Young Boys Berne," McKay told the Hull Daily Mail. "He's a very clever negotiator and Zayatte could be worth three times the fee Duffen agreed with them at the time."

He added: "But Kamil is very happy to be at Hull. He's delighted with the coaches and his team-mates. He's loving it there and he's been welcomed with open arms by the fans."

Duffen, meanwhile, insists Hull will not be selling any of the players who have lifted the Barclays Premier League newcomers to third in the table.

Midfielder Geovanni and defender Michael Turner in particular have caught the eye, but Duffen said: "We are now playing football in the most high-profile and competitive league in the world, so therefore it is expected that other clubs will be looking at our players.

"But I will state now that I don't envisage losing any player come January. We will do our best to keep all of our players."
