Hull to keep Manu

Hull forward Willie Manu has agreed a new two-year contract with the KC Stadium club.

The 28-year-old Tonga international joined Hull from Castleford in 2007 and will now stay with the Black and Whites until at least 2010.

"I can now fully focus on playing some good footy," said Manu, who recently returned to action after breaking his jaw.

"I am really happy to be staying at the club for another two years. Peter Sharp gave me an opportunity to keep playing in Super League after Castleford were relegated and since coming to Hull I have really enjoyed myself."

Sharp, who has welcomed knee injury victim Ewan Dowes back into his squad to face Bradford on Friday, was full of praise for Manu's contribution to the club.

"Willie is an exceptional player," he said. "He provides us with tremendous power and impact value. He's a handful to any defence and as we have seen on numerous occasions he causes so much havoc."
