Hussey brothers star for Australia

The Hussey brothers took centre stage as Australia kept the Commonwealth Bank Series alive with a six-wicket victory over New Zealand in Adelaide.

Having fallen 2-0 behind in the best-of-five contest, the hosts have now won the last two matches to set up a winner-takes-all clash in Brisbane on Friday.

New Zealand relied on a late surge to register 244 for eight from their 50 overs - a total which never looked like being enough, and Australia cruised to victory with 10 balls to spare. David Hussey hit 79, while older brother Mike made an unbeaten 75.

Seamer Iain O'Brien was the pick of the New Zealand attack, claiming two for 54 off his 10 overs.

Earlier in the day, Ross Taylor top-scored for the Black Caps with 76 from 72 deliveries, while some lusty blows saw Kyle Mills chip in with a handy 23 from 27 balls.

Openers Martin Guptill (45) and Brendon McCullum (33) were the other major contributors.

Mitchell Johnson finished with three for 51, while James Hopes (two for 37) and Michael Clarke (one for 23 off eight overs) were also handy with the ball.
