Hutton set for scan

Tottenham full-back Alan Hutton will have a scan on his injured foot on Monday after missing the Barclays Premier League win over Blackburn at White Hart Lane.

The 23-year-old's start to the campaign was delayed due to the problem but he had been playing for the last month and featured in Scotland's defeat to Argentina last Wednesday.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp faces an anxious wait to see if Hutton can make the trip to Nijmegen for Thursday's UEFA Cup clash as right-back Vedran Corluka is cup-tied and skipper Ledley King will be rested.

Striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, who is also ineligible for European action this week, scored the only goal of the match against Blackburn on Sunday, lifting Spurs out of the relegation zone.

Redknapp feels Aaron Lennon's form could put him back in the England frame after falling behind the likes of Theo Walcott, David Beckham and Shaun Wright-Phillips in Fabio Capello's pecking order.

Lennon was taken to the last World Cup and then found himself out of favour, but Redknapp said: "If he starts seeing him play like that he'll put himself in the picture again.

"I've had Walcott (at Southampton). Walcott is young but so is Lennon. He's 21, only a kid. There is nothing to stop him because there are not many wingers around who can do what he does.

"Lennon is exciting. He carries the game forward for us. He was the wonderkid at the last World Cup, then he was off the radar and not getting a game here. I think his confidence is coming back."
