Ince hoping to keep Roque happy

During the international break, Ince had to contend with reports that Santa Cruz is eyeing a reunion with former Blackburn boss Mark Hughes - and that Chilean midfielder Carlos Villanueva is unhappy with the new Rovers manager.
But Ince said: "If there was an issue he (Santa Cruz) would have come to see me, and he has not done that - so I presume he's happy." And on Villanueva he added: "I've spoke to Carlos, who was upset by the report and denied it completely, but you always get these situations where things are lost in translation."
Ince continued: "I've sat down with Carlos, and the main thing is that he's absolutely happy here and that's the end of it as far as I'm concerned."
Speculation linked Santa Cruz to a host of Premier League clubs during the summer and Ince believes the Paraguayan would have moved then if he really wanted to leave Ewood Park, rather than sign a new contract with the club.
"Roque is not one to rock the boat - if that was the case he would have gone before the start of the season," Ince added.
"He's said he loves it at Blackburn and if he wasn't here he would have signed a new four-year contract a few weeks ago.
"But we're only a few weeks away from January, and it's now that all the speculation starts."
