India fight back against Australia

The tourists looked to be on the ropes at the WACA after losing their last four wickets for only two runs in the morning session to slip from 328 for six.
Resuming on 297 for six, Irfan Pathan and MS Dhoni batted patiently to take the score to 328 in the first 11 overs of the day before the latter was dismissed lbw by Stuart Clark when the wicketkeeper was struck on the knee roll.
Dhoni's dismissal triggered a swift conclusion to the Indian innings with Pathan going two runs later after Mitchell Johnson's full length delivery hit him square on the pads in front of leg stump.
Having already escaped two close calls, Anil Kumble lofted a Clark delivery to covers where debutant Chris Rogers dived to his right to brilliantly dismiss the Indian skipper for one.
RP Singh then went for a duck after Johnson's rising ball caught the top of his bat and popped up for Michael Hussey to take the catch as India subsided to 330 all out.
However, the Australian response began poorly with Rogers dismissed lbw by Pathan with only 12 runs on the board.
Pathan struck again two balls later when Phil Jaques' attempted a cover drive which caught a thick edge and flew into the hands of VVS Laxman at second slip.
Michael Hussey then fell for a duck edging RP Singh to Dhoni behind the stumps to leave Australia struggling on 14 for three.
