India set challenging target
11 January 2007
Yuvraj shared a brilliant fourth-wicket partnership of 100 with captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who made 49 from 52 balls.
Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar gave the hosts a solid start, putting on 68 for the first wicket before the latter offered an outside edge to Kamran Akmal off the bowling of Sohail Tanvir for 29 in the 11th over.
Ganguly - who was dropped by Akmal before getting off the mark - soon followed his opening partner back to the pavilion, bowled between bat and pad by Tanvir for 39.
Gautam Gambhir added 25 to the total before being bowled off an inside edge by Abdur Rehman.
Gambhir's dismissal saw Dhoni join Yuvraj in the middle and the pair took the hosts from 129 for three to 229 for four.
Dhoni was the first to perish, bowled off an inside edge by Shoaib Akhtar just one run short of his half-century and soon afterwards Yuvraj - who had been dropped on 26 by Salman Butt - holed out to Misbah-ul-Haq at deep mid-wicket.
Robin Uthappa hit 19 from 17 balls before being bowled by Umar Gul, with Irfan Pathan (17) and Harbhajan Singh (10) unbeaten at the end of 50 overs.
The five-match one-day international series is tied at 1-1.
