India wrap up Aussie tail

Australia posted a first innings score of 343 in the first Test against India in Melbourne after the tourists removed Stuart Clark inside three overs on Thursday morning.

Australia began the day 337 for nine courtesy of Matthew Hayden's 28th Test century, but the hosts added just six as Clark (21) was caught at deep square leg by Harbhajan Singh off the bowling of Zaheer Khan after failing to add to his overnight total.

Mitchell Johnson was left unbeaten on 15 after adding five to his overnight score at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Khan finished with innings figures of four for 94 off just under 24 overs as India captain Anil Kumble failed to add to his first day five wicket haul.
