Jones killed in car crash

QPR striker Ray Jones has been killed in a car crash.

Jones, who was due to celebrate his 19th birthday on Tuesday, died following the accident in London on Friday night.

As a result of the tragedy, QPR's Coca-Cola Championship match at Burnley on Saturday has been postponed.

Jones, who last season earned a call-up to the England Under-19s squad, was set to miss the match with a foot injury.

A youth product at Loftus Road, Jones was a regular member of the Rangers squad last season.

After making his professional debut against Watford in April 2006, the striker went on to make 35 appearances in all competitions last term - scoring six goals - but he had yet to feature this season.
