Jones ruled out

Wales forward Alun-Wyn Jones will sit out Saturday's RBS 6 Nations Championship clash against Scotland in Cardiff.

The Ospreys lock suffered an ankle ligament injury during Wales' 26-19 victory over England at Twickenham on Saturday.

However, he is expected to recover in time for the Millennium Stadium appointment with Italy on February 23.

Head coach Warren Gatland has called up 30-year-old Cardiff Blues lock Deiniol Jones to the squad.

Jones won the last of his three caps against South Africa in 2004 and he is likely to be on the bench, with Ian Evans starting alongside second-row partner Ian Gough.
