Jordan leaves Pompey

Portsmouth first team coach Joe Jordan has left the club in the wake of Harry Redknapp`s departure to Tottenham.

The 56-year-old Scot spent four years as part of the backroom staff at Fratton Park - during which time he briefly took charge of the first team on a caretaker basis - but after the appointment of assistant manager Tony Adams as Redknapp`s replacement Jordan has departed.

Adams, who has already spoken to former Arsenal team-mate Martin Keown and is reported to have also been in contact with another ex-Gunner Dennis Bergkamp, is expected to unveil his own coaching team next week.
