Kaka looking for British hat-trick

AC Milan star Kaka is looking to deliver the third knock-out punch for British opposition in this season's Champions League in Wednesday's final against Liverpool.

Kaka's extra-time goal eliminated Celtic in the first knock-out round before the Brazilian terrorised the Manchester United defence in the semi-finals and now the 25-year-old is looking to fire the Rossoneri to their seventh European crown in Athens.

"This year things have gone really well for me against British opposition," said Kaka. "Let's hope it finishes in the same manner it started."

Milan have reason to be optimistic with Kaka, who has been the team's undisputed star in recent years, in sublime form.

However, the South American, who is considered favourite to win the Ballon d'Or, insists his best is yet to come.

"It is a privilege to be a star of this team," said Kaka. "But I don't feel a football god. For me the most important thing is to help my club and my national team. I know I have a lot to improve on and many things left to learn. I don't think I have reached my best yet."

Kaka will be hoping he can produce the same performance that saw him score three of Milan's five goals in the semi-final ties against United.

He will not lack motivation as he attempts to clinch his first Champions League crown playing in his second European final.

"I hope to play well," he said. "I hope that I can make the difference. I am ready to face any Liverpool player.

"Our aim is to try to play as we did in the first half against Manchester United (in both legs). It is beautiful to see the trophy displayed and I hope that I can lift it."
