Kamara deal close for Cottagers
04 January 2007
It is understood the formalities of Kamara's move have been completed, with new boss Lawrie Sanchez set to make his second signing of the summer following Aaron Hughes' arrival from Aston Villa.
Kamara, the 26-year-old Senegal striker, scored 23 goals last season but could not help West Brom force their way back into the Premier League.
There have also been reports of Sanchez moving for Blackburn's Jason Roberts, with interest in another striker leading to more doubts over Collins John's future at Craven Cottage after he spent parts of last season travelling back to Holland for personal reasons.
Sanchez, who is only five games into his Fulham career, is also linked with a move for Villa's Northern Ireland midfielder Steven Davis, who he coached at international level.
Meanwhile, there has been interest in left-back Franck Queudrue from other Premier League clubs, according to the defender's agent.
Dominique Six is quoted on setanta.com as saying: "He is a professional and is under contract with Fulham. But if an opportunity occurs I will definitely study it.
"Newcastle and Everton regard Franck as a possible signing."
