Keane sees a future at Sunderland

Keane was speaking after their first win in four league matches - a 2-1 victory against Blackburn at Ewood Park. Djibril Cisse scored the winner in a rousing comeback after Kenwyne Jones had cancelled out the opener from Chris Samba.
It was just the boost the Sunderland fans were looking for after a wild rumour on the eve of the game that the Irishman had quit the club. Keane has yet to sign a new contract but he said: "If I had resigned what the hell would I be doing here."
He added: "There is no uncertainty, I am in negotiations with the club and I am sure things will be sorted.
"It is nobody's business, my contract situation. It is a matter between me and the board. Myself, Niall Quinn (chairman) and the people involved are the most relaxed people in the world about it.
"Trust me when I have lost three to four games the last thing on my mind is my contract situation. I have more important things to worry about.
"These things will take care of themselves. My job is to try to win football matches."
Keane added: "If I was going to answer rumours, we would be here all night. People put two and two together and come up with 10. It is just stupid.
"Last year I had it with players in nightclubs, players taking this, players saying this. It seems to happen in the north-east quite a bit. There used to be talk about Newcastle players, now it is Sunderland players. There is no logic to it.
"I look at my players and I don't think it (the rumours) has affected them. When I reported to meet the team, I think they were more disappointed than anyone I hadn't resigned!"
