Thaxton declared Khan has "no chin" after watching the Olympic silver medallist tumble to the canvas in his clash with Willie Limond at the O2 Arena 10 days ago - although he did recover to claim the Commonwealth lightweight title.

"His (Thaxton) time will come because I'll definitely fight him," said Khan. "He's experienced and strong."

Khan was impressed by Gavin Rees' points victory over WBA light-welterweight champion Souleymane M'Baye in Cardiff on Saturday and joked he would be happy to challenge for the Welshman's new belt.

"Gavin is a good fighter. Winning a title like that is awesome. He's got one of the best titles," he added.

"He is a good fighter, although I don't know what was wrong with Souleymane on the night.

"Maybe I could fight for Gavin's title and then I would be a world champion at 20!"
