Khan seeks rapid progress

Warren is keen to apply the brakes to Khan's professional career after the Bolton star was dumped onto the canvas before beating Willie Limond in his last fight two months ago - but Khan, who defends his Commonwealth lightweight title against Stoke's Scott Lawton at the Nottingham Arena on Saturday, insists he is ready to reach the top.
The 20-year-old said: "I know Frank is trying to look after my interests as my promoter and he knows all about timing when it come to world title fights. But look at how far I've progressed in my 13 fights so far. I know I can improve so quickly in my next five fights that Frank will have no option but to say yes, Amir's ready."
Warren is not so convinced. While he retains total belief in Khan's ability to reach the top he insists it would be futile to rush the Olympic silver medallist before he is ready.
"Making a world title fight for Amir would be easy but when you fight for a world title you have got to be able to win it and defend it, and there is no doubt that Amir needs more experience," Warren said.
"Some people have said we should be moving him more quickly but we are still moving him quicker than most fighters. Nigel Benn was 24 years old when he won the Commonwealth title.
"Maybe in five fights Amir will be ready and when that time comes we will sit down with Amir and his trainer Oliver Harrison and talk about where to go from there."
