Koreans set to see Park

Sir Alex Ferguson expects local hero Park Ji-sung to play some part for Manchester United in their pre-season clash with FC Seoul on Friday.

Two years ago, Park missed out on the chance of facing a team from his homeland due to a major knee operation, which also ruled him out of that summer's Asia Cup and his appearance will be restricted again - this time because of his late return to pre-season training - following his successful World Cup qualifying commitments with South Korea.

But Ferguson is in no mood to disappoint the enthusiastic South Korean faithful a second time and said: "A decision will be taken on Friday, but I feel he may be able to play some minutes."

He added: "He has not been with us before now, so he has not done the same preparation as the rest of the players, but I am sure he will play at least part of the time.

"That will be a big lift to the fans in Korea.

"Two years ago he was injured and didn't play but I think he still got man of the match, which just shows you have fanatical football supporters here."
