Lawson commits to Gloucester

Rory Lawson has agreed a two-year contract extension with Gloucester, keeping him at Kingsholm until 2010.

The Scotland scrum-half, 26, has made 44 appearances since joining from Edinburgh at the start of last season, scoring nine tries.

Lawson said: "I am delighted to commit my long-term future to Gloucester - we are a massively ambitious club."

Head coach Dean Ryan added: "Rory came to Gloucester searching for more consistent exposure at the top level and through his hard work, understanding of what we wanted from him and dedication, has developed into one of the most consistent scrum-halves in the Premiership."
