Legend Rush sings Crouch's praises

The England forward has found chances at Anfield limited this season following, chiefly, the arrival of Fernando Torres which has led to speculation - repeatedly played down by player and manager Rafael Benitez - about the 26-year-old's future.
But Rush feels he is still one of the club's most potent weapons, saying: "He has done nothing wrong. Every time he has played for Liverpool he has been superb. He's a fantastic different option for Liverpool and England and has never let Liverpool down."
He added: "He [Benitez] can't ask Peter Crouch to do anything else. He has done exactly what he's been asked to do but he's got to be patient. He has become a better player simply by being at Liverpool Football Club."
With Liverpool back on form after scoring 21 goals in their last five games, Rush does not feel Benitez needs to make many additions in the January transfer window.
The issue has recently been a cause of consternation between Benitez and club owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett with the Spaniard wanting make early headway in the recruitment process.
The situation has simmered down with Benitez agreeing to wait until after a meeting with the American owners later this month before starting to pursue targets.
Yet despite the furore, Rush is not anticipating major surgery and believes the return from injury of Daniel Agger and Xabi Alonso is likely to prove just as important.
Rush, now a pundit on Setanta Sports, added: "I don't think they need more than two players. When they get Agger back it'll be like having a new player and when they get Alonso back it'll be like having a new player.
"They're sound at the back, sound in goal and quite comfortable up front. It depends how the injuries go but I don't they need more than two players. I think their main priority will be a centre-back."
