Lehmann eyes Euro final role

Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann insists he is happy to represent Arsenal in Sunday's Euro 2008 final despite his "difficult" relationship with manager Arsene Wenger last season.

The 38-year-old is poised to join Bundesliga club Stuttgart after barely featuring under the Frenchman during the last campaign, with Manuel Almunia favoured in the Gunners goal, and now -despite some less-than-polished performances for his country during the tournament - he is set to face Spain in this weekend's showpiece.

"It's a great end to a tough year and it would mean a lot to win it because in the end my difficult season was down to my club manager," the German said. "We have had some discussion about that and I always told him what I was thinking about his decision. But I'm quite proud to represent Arsenal in Sunday's final."
