Lemi extends Bristol stay

David Lemi has signed a contract extension with Bristol, which ties to him to the club until 2011.

The Samoa winger has scored 27 tries in 41 starts for Bristol, and was the top try-scorer in last season's Guinness Premiership.

Head coach Richard Hill said: "When we signed David he was a star in the World Sevens Series but less well known in the XVs game. Not all sevens specialists make the transition to the 15-a-side game - but David has been sensational."

Lemi added: "I've been very happy in my time here at Bristol. The club have progressed a great deal over the past couple of years and everything is in place for us to go even further.

"When I was approached about a new contract, I had no hesitation and am looking forward to Bristol enjoying further success in my time here."
