Leuluai, 31, who was out of contract at the end of the season and was thought to have been a target for Wigan, has committed himself to the defending Super League champions until the end of the 2011 campaign.
"It is great news." said Leeds coach Brian McClennan. "Kylie is a good man who has already been involved in some successes with the club and we hope there is more to come. He is very important on and off the field for us."
Leuluai, cousin of Wigan scrum-half Thomas Leuluai, has made 78 appearances for Leeds since joining them from Manly Sea Eagles ahead of the 2007 season and was a member of their back-to-back Grand Final-winning teams.
"I am really happy to have signed the new deal because I believe that this is the best club in the competition to be playing at," he said.
"There was never any thought in my mind about moving to another club. Why would you want to play for anyone other than Leeds?
"This is a successful club to be a part of and I am looking forward to the next two years very much."
