Ljubicic ruled out

Great Britain's hopes of returning to the Davis Cup World Group received a huge boost today after Ivan Ljubicic pulled out of his rubber against Tim Henman.

The world number 12 withdrew from today's singles action with a recurrence of a urinary infection.

A decision has yet to be taken on his participation in tomorrow's doubles and Sunday's singles rubbers.

Replacing Ljubicic against Henman was world number 164 Roko Karanusic, who had lost his only previous Davis Cup rubber two years ago. Croatia were already without star names Mario Ancic and Ivo Karlovic for this weekend's tie.
