Lloyd faces up to toughest task

Great Britain Davis Cup captain John Lloyd has described the World Group draw away to Argentina in February as the most difficult test his team has ever faced.

Lloyd's men must travel to Buenos Aires less than two weeks after the end of the Australian Open to face the 2006 runners-up who boast an amazing 12 players in the current world's top 100 - by contrast Great Britain will rely almost single-handedly on Andy Murray.

Lloyd said: "I personally believe that for all members of the team including Andy it will be the toughest challenge they have faced in their young careers."

He added: "If Andy got to the finals of the Australian Open, by the time he has flown to Buenos Aires he will only have two or three days to change surfaces before he plays a Davis Cup World Group match.

"I believe Andy's concerns are legitimate. To have Davis Cup one week after a Grand Slam is really quite ridiculous and from our side it makes it exceptionally difficult to go that far and turn things around."
