Massa leads the way

Felipe Massa took the honours in the final practice session ahead of Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix.

At the end of the hour-long run at the Hungaroring, it was Massa and Ferrari who topped the timesheets, with the Brazilian clocking one minute 20.183 seconds for the 4.384km circuit on the outskirts of Budapest.

The McLarens of reigning double world champion Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton, who leads the drivers' standings, were second and third respectively.

Alonso was just 0.231secs off the pace, with Hamilton fractions of a second behind his Spanish team-mate.

The BMW Sauber of Nick Heidfeld broke the Ferrari-McLaren monopoly by setting the fourth best lap time ahead of Kimi Raikkonen.

Williams' Nico Rosberg and the Toyotas of Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher were also within a second of Massa, leaving Mark Webber for Red Bull Racing and Alex Wurz for Williams to complete the top 10.

Anthony Davidson was a promising 11th for Super Aguri, with David Coulthard 14th in the second Red Bull and last year's race winner Jenson Button 18th - just over two seconds down - in his Honda.
