Mathers set for Warrington bow

Former Leeds and Wigan full-back Richie Mathers is hoping to make his Warrington debut next week.

The 25-year-old joined the Wolves for a second time earlier this month as part of the deal which saw Martin Gleeson leave the Halliwell Jones Stadium for Wigan.

Mathers said: "I'm back to full training next week with a view to playing next weekend. I'm really looking forward to getting started."

Mathers has not played since the move as he recovers from a hernia operation but he has targeted next Sunday's home engage Super League clash with Huddersfield for a possible bow.
