Mayweather focused on Hatton

Victory over Hatton would probably pave the way to a 147lbs super-fight against the explosive Miguel Cotto but Mayweather insists his sole focus for the time being remains on the Manchester 'Hit Man'.
"I feel like I've accomplished nearly everything a fighter can accomplish in this great sport of boxing but I need to sit back and talk it over with my mother," Mayweather said. "Right now I'm not interested in anything except my fight on December 8. I just want to focus on one fight at a time. I am going to overlook nobody and see where we go from there."
Mayweather's level of self-confidence is such that he can get away without sounding contradictory when he claims he is not under-estimating Hatton before admitting he has barely bothered watching tapes of him in action.
"I'm not really a Ricky Hatton fan," Mayweather admitted. "I saw a couple of rounds of him against Kostya Tszyu and some more against another fighter. I've never really watched Ricky fight.
"I don't study tapes of fighters. I'm going to adjust to his style when I get in there.
"Obviously he's done something right because he's facing Floyd Mayweather so we'll have to see what he brings to the table."
But Mayweather added: "I don't overlook any of my opponents. I always approach every fight in a great manner and I am always pushing myself to the limit and trying to get the best out of Floyd Mayweather.
"I'll continue to do that. I always train hard and I dedicate myself so that in 20 years' time when my grandkids read stories about me they'll know that I was one hell of a good fighter."
