Mbu calls it quits

Harlequins second-row forward Joe Mbu has hung up his boots at the age of 25.

The London-born Mbu, who made his 100th Super League appearance for the club earlier this year, plans to spend time with his young family.

"I got married last year and we had our first child in July so I'm looking forward to spending more time with my wife and daughter," he said. "I'd like to remain in the sport at some level. It's in my blood and I can't see myself leaving it behind without suffering from withdrawal."

Harlequins chairman David Hughes added: "I'd like to thank Joe for everything he has done for Harlequins Rugby League throughout his long service at the club."
