McAvoy to leave Bulls

Much-travelled former England centre Nathan McAvoy is to be released by Bradford at the end of the season.

The Bulls have told the 30-year-old former Salford, Leeds and Wigan three-quarter, who is in his second spell at Odsal, that he will not be retained next season due to salary cap constraints.

"It's unfortunate as I would like to have stayed, but there's no hard feelings," McAvoy told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus. "The words salary cap get bandied about quite a lot nowadays - you just have to put up with it."
