McClaren: Victory is not a given

Their opponents in Tallinn have yet to score a goal or claim a point in six Euro 2008 qualifiers, but - following Friday night's 1-1 draw with Brazil - England simply must win as they are five points behind Croatia and three points behind both Israel and Russia in qualifying group E.
McClaren said: "We'll have to make sure on Monday that we are brought back down from that performance, move it to one side and say 'right, against Estonia these are your jobs, this is what you have got to do'."
He added: "If they do that in a disciplined manner then you get a performance.
"All games are difficult at international level, especially away games. But it's not really about Estonia, it's about what we do.
"If we do the job as we have done with the England B game and against Brazil we expect to win, but we have got to do the job and have the same level of performance that we had on Friday night.
"Despite not winning games they [Estonia] actually try and play football, they try and attack so hopefully it will be an open game."
With David Beckham's having secured his place back in the international fold. the only change in Tallinn is likely to be Peter Crouch coming in for Alan Smith to partner Michael Owen.
Wayne Rooney is suspended and with Owen Hargreaves injured, McClaren will have little option but to keep Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard as his central midfield partnership despite the Chelsea player again looking out of sorts and being booed by the Wembley crowd.
As for Beckham, McClaren insisted that he was not surprised by the level of the 32-year-old's performance against Brazil, saying: "I wasn't surprised - I've seen him play week in week out for Real Madrid just recently and it's the same performance. We needed that and it gave us great balance on that right-hand side."
