McClennan keeps feet on the ground

The Rhinos pulled four points clear of Warrington, who take on Harlequins on Saturday evening, thanks to a 14-10 win over St Helens on Friday night in a repeat of last year's Grand Final.
But McClennan said: "We've got to play Wigan and Warrington yet and, if we can be six points in front of everybody then, it would take a lot of pressure off ourselves,"
He added: "It is a long season and, if we were able to do that, we might be able to rest some players."
Saints now trail the leaders by six points after losing three of their last four matches and, while coach Daniel Anderson may privately concede top spot, he has not given up hope of reclaiming the big prize in October.
"That's not relevant," he said of the final league placings. "We've won three League leaders trophies in a row. It's not the be-all and end-all. We won it last year and lost in the Grand Final.
"I'm not concerned with our position in the table because, if we play like that, our results will follow and we're going to be every bit in contention.
"I honestly thought we outplayed them. We just couldn't get the final play or the final pass. We dropped our guard on two or three occasions and they scored two tries. Other than that, I thought we handled them really well."
Leeds went in front courtesy of a try from second rower Ali Lauitiiti, but three penalty goals from Sean Long kept Saints in touch and they hit the front early in the second half when Paul Wellens breached the champions' tryline for only the second time in four matches.
But Leeds strengthened their resolve and clinched victory on the hour when promising prop Luke Burgess, older brother of Bradford's international forward Sam, forced his way over for the all-important try.
