McGeady made to feel like traitor

The 21-year-old, who was born in Glasgow, caused a stir when he opted to play for the country of his paternal grandfather, and McGeady claims supporters of other teams have not forgiven him for turning his back on Scotland.
He said: "I get abuse at every away match and no doubt it's because of the Irish thing. I get booed from the first time I touch the ball and when I go over to take a throw-in I have to put my hand over my ears and try and make a joke out of it."
He added: "It used to affect me but now it goes in one ear and out of the other. I try to laugh it off rather than give the crowd the satisfaction of thinking they're getting through to me.
"I went to Neil Lennon for advice when he was Celtic captain because he'd received all sorts, including death threats, in his time with the club. Thankfully my situation has never been that bad and I don't get treated too badly when I'm out on the streets of Glasgow.
"The manager has had his share of abuse as well and I think fans are hypocritical when they start demanding police intervention if anybody looks the wrong way at him."
