McGuire ruled out

Underdogs Catalans Dragons have suffered a major blow ahead of Saturday's Carnegie Challenge Cup final against St Helens, with the loss of Australian stand-off Casey McGuire.

The former Brisbane Broncos player has failed a fitness test on a pectoral injury and misses the Wembley showdown.

"We tested him on Thursday and he had no chance," said coach Mick Potter.

Former Canberra Raiders centre Adam Mogg, who has deputised at stand-off in the last two matches, will keep the role alongside captain Stacey Jones - with forward Sebastien Raguin likely to continue as a makeshift three-quarter.

Potter will give a fitness test to winger Younes Khattabi (groin) before finalising his team.
