McKie ready for Hadden talks

Frank Hadden is the right man to lead Scotland into the RBS 6 Nations, the Scottish Rugby Union have confirmed.

Gordon McKie, SRU's chief executive, is set to begin contract talks with Hadden, 53, as his previous deal ran out at the end of the World Cup, where Scotland reached the quarter-finals.

"We want Frank to stay as national coach and I will be telling him that personally," McKie told the Daily Mail.

"I know that Frank has done a great job and players have stated publicly that he should be given a new contract.

"We feel the same and will now sit down and say, 'Right Frank, here's a pen, let's get this done'."
