Megson hails battling Bolton

Kevin Davies' 46th-minute close-range strike was enough to see off the disappointing Hammers and allowed them to claw back two points on 17th-placed Birmingham.
"It was a terrific result, a terrific performance, given the circumstances," Megson said. "There are a lot of positives to come from this and it (the result) was fully deserved."
He added: "The players deserve great credit not just for the way they played but in the circumstances in which they played because we didn't just battle, scrap and run and fight we actually played it on quite a few occasions.
"We had maybe three kicked off the line, a couple have gone down Robert Green's throat which could have gone either side and we've had a couple of goals disallowed which were touch and go and not a massive amount came from West Ham."
El Hadji Diouf had a first-half effort disallowed for offside while Bolton captain Kevin Nolan was also denied in the 65th minute by the assistant referee's flag after Hammers' goalkeeper Robert Green could only parry Diouf's shot.
Diouf's effort left Megson, once again, questioning the offside law.
"This is that grey area about whether you are offside coming back on to it or not going on to it," he added. "They need to sort it out - you are either offside or not offside.
"I am led to believe Diouf was offside when the free-kick came in but not offside when he was striking it in."
