Mickelson claims Deutsche Bank crown

Phil Mickelson carded a final-round 66 to win the Deutsche Bank Championship by two strokes.

Tiger Woods, Arron Olberholser and overnight leader Brett Wetterich finished joint second at 14 under.

Facing Woods head to head for the first time in 18 months, Mickelson never looked back after birdies at four of the first seven holes, and he said afterwards: "We don't get paired very often in majors, and hopefully next year we'll have a chance to do that."

World number one Woods made a late charge with birdies on the 14th and 16th but was unable to sink a key 10-foot birdie putt on the 17th, while a 33-foot putt for eagle on the 18th fell short.

"Unfortunately, I just didn't make enough putts to really push him," said Woods.
