Dundee United midfielder Robertson is uncapped, while Aberdeen forward Miller could make his second appearance after featuring in the Kirin Cup in May 2006.
James Morrison and Ross McCormack have both been added to the list of call-offs, with Morrison out with a knee injury and McCormack struggling with a hamstring strain.
They join Rangers striker Kenny Miller (calf), Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon (ankle) and Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher (knee), who have all pulled out of Wednesday's friendly at Hampden.
Scotland assistant manager Terry Butcher refused to be too downbeat about the number of call-offs for the clash at Hampden and joked: "We will probably need two squads to cope with Argentina!
"There are people out injured who are not here but it's a game everyone is looking forward to.
"We have had to draft a couple in but we are looking forward to Wednesday's game, it will be a fantastic match to play in and be a part of.
"I'm sure those who are not here will be disappointed and the ones who are here will be looking forward to playing against one of the best teams in the world."
And the former England star admits there will be no love lost between himself and Diego Maradona when he comes face to face once again with the man famous for the Hand of God in their respective dug-outs at Hampden.
"No, I'll never forgive him," admitted Butcher. "But that was 22 years ago and it's all about our players on Wednesday."
