Moody still playing long game
30 January 2009
Moody came through 80 minutes after three months out with a broken ankle for Leicester during the weekend 73-3 hammering of Bristol, which ensured they qualified for the Guinness Premiership play-offs.
The 29-year-old, who has been dogged by injury problems in the past 12 months since rupturing his Achilles against Wales in the 2008 Six Nations tournament, said: "I am still pretty fresh in terms of my body even though I've had a number of operations. I'm 29, if I get in another four or five seasons, I'll be happy with that."
He added: "I am just happy playing rugby again - and I'll be playing it as long as I can.
"The next World Cup is only two and a bit years away now. I'll be just 32 at the start of it. We will see how it goes.
"I'm all about just getting in as many games as I can, whether it is Leicester or England, and hopefully my body stays fit long enough to make that happen."
