Morley looks forward to derby

Warrington captain Adrian Morley inspired his side to a 22-12 demolition of reigning engage Super League champions Leeds and then declared: "Bring on St Helens."

The Wolves' impressive renaissance under Jimmy Lowes continued on Saturday night as a second-half masterclass saw them destroy Leeds at Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Great Britain Test forward Morley said: "I think we've been building towards the Leeds game and the trip to Saints as an indication of where we actually are in this competition. We've passed one test against Leeds but it should be an even bigger one against Saints."

It was their seventh win in eight games since Lowes took charge - first as caretaker coach before he was handed a contract until the end of 2009 - and encouraged hopes that Super League's most notorious underachievers are capable of reaching the grand final.

However, next weekend's trip across the M62 to face neighbours St Helens promises to be their sternest test yet - even more so given their pitiful record against the Knowsley Road outfit.

Warrington have beaten Saints just once in 32 Super League derbies and even that victory came way back in 2001.

Morley added: "Winning becomes a habit and we've been winning games without playing particularly well, which is a good sign.

"We haven't got a great record against them but there's no time like the present to knock them off.

"They're obviously the form team of the competition and they're far and away the benchmark at the moment, but we'll go there with a bit of confidence ourselves and give it a good go."
