Murray benefits from Robredo injury

The Spaniard suddenly called a halt to proceedings complaining of trouble with his wrist in the second set, with Murray 6-2 3-0 up .
The Scot had been firmly in control of the match and will be grateful for the opportunity to rest ahead of his quarter-final clash with the winner of the match between Igor Andreev and Ivan Ljubicic.
In sweltering conditions, Murray continued to make an encouraging recovery from the virus which kept him out of Great Britain's Davis Cup tie with Ukraine, punishing a host of unforced errors from the Spaniard and coming up with a pleasing range of groundstrokes.
Robredo, who had won both of the pair's previous two meetings, started confidently and broke Murray in the third game when the Scot double faulted.
But Murray immediately responded, breaking back to love, holding his serve and then breaking the Spaniard again in the sixth after saving game point with a superb rally.
Robredo came back strongly, smashing his way to 0-30 in the next game. But Murray was growing into the match and kept his cool to make it 5-2 before breaking the Spaniard a third time to seal the first set.
Having made 18 unforced errors during the course of that opening exchange, Robredo was making life easy for the British number one, who retained his composure going into the second set.
Despite double faulting twice he came through a tough opening service game unscathed before breaking Robredo, who was making more and more mistakes, to go 2-0 up.
Murray had just held serve to make it 3-0 when Robredo approached the umpire to bring an premature end to the match.
