Murray crashes out

Andy Murray's recent revival was brought crashing to a halt as Janko Tipsarevic booked his place in the Kremlin Cup quarter-finals with a 6-4 7-5 victory in Moscow.

The Scot started sluggishly and failed to muster a single break-point in the opening set against the world number 68, who in stark contrast had seven opportunities to break.

Murray improved in the second set and opened up a 5-3 lead, but Tipsarevic reeled off the next four games to gain revenge for last week's defeat against the 20-year-old in Metz.

The Serbian, who was far more clinical on the crucial points, will face Radek Stepanek in the last eight.
